The Year of CCS: Innovations and Progress in Carbon Capture

The American Chamber of Commerce Saudi Arabia is pleased to announce its Energy Committee Dine and Discover event: "The Year of CCS: Innovations and Progress in Carbon Capture", which will be held on Sunday, October 20th, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the offices of Air Products Qudra in Dhahran Techno Valley.

The Energy Committee will welcome Dr. Sadad Al Husseini, the Founder and President of Husseini Energy Company and former Executive VP of Upstream Operations at Saudi Aramco. With a PhD in Earth Sciences from Brown University, he has been instrumental in modernizing Saudi Aramco's oil fields. For this occasion, Dr. Al Husseini will be speaking on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), a key component of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. As part of the Kingdom's commitment to reducing its carbon footprint, CCS is crucial for capturing CO2 emissions from industrial processes and contributes to global climate change efforts, aligning with Vision 2030's goals of diversifying the economy and promoting environmental sustainability.

Guests will enjoy a catered light dinner from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, offering an excellent opportunity to network with industry peers and engage in discussions about this important topic.
