Driving Sustainability: Exploring ESG Strategies in the Energy Sector

The American Chamber of Commerce Saudi Arabia ESG Committee is pleased to invite you to Driving Sustainability: Exploring ESG Strategies in the Energy Sector, taking place on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Le Meridien Hotel in Al Khobar.

This event will explore key trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping ESG practices in the energy industry. Nizar Kammourie, CEO of SAWACO WATER GROUP and Chair of the ESG Committee, will open with remarks on the event's objectives and the growing importance of ESG in the sector.

In addition, there will be five interactive roundtable discussions on key ESG topics:

• Carbon Management and Climate Action Plans, where participants will discuss strategies for reducing carbon footprints and creating effective climate action plans.
• Circular Economy Practices in Energy Production, focusing on how circular economy principles are driving waste reduction and resource recycling.
• Technological Innovations for Sustainable Energy, exploring emerging technologies that enhance ESG performance.
• Stakeholder Engagement in ESG Practices, sharing best practices for involving communities, investors, and regulators in ESG initiatives.
• Addressing Greenwashing in the Energy and Oil Sector, a discussion on transparency, accountability, and how to build trust with stakeholders.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in the roundtable discussions, consisting of two sessions, each lasting 40 minutes, with a 15-minutebreak in between. During each session, attendees can join two roundtables for 20 minutes each, allowing for engagement in a total of four roundtables throughout the event.

The event will conclude with a 20-minute networking session, giving participants the opportunity to connect, exchange insights, and foster new collaborations.
