Event Details

Join the American Chamber of Commerce Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province Chapter for a ghoulishly good time at the upcoming Networking After Dark on 1 November 2023 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the U.S. Consulate Dhahran.

Newly appointed U.S. Consul General Dhahran Jim Sindle will join us to mix and mingle with the U.S. business community based in the Eastern Province. Guests will enjoy Halloween-themed food and refreshments.

We hope you'll join us for some spooky treats and business meets!

The security gates open from 6:30 PM. Parking available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Consular parking at the front of the compound or on the street. A bus will be available to transport guests from the parking area to the security entrance for the event.

Please register with the ID you intend to bring with you on the night of the event. Guests may bring cash for additional refreshments available for purchase. No phones, smartwatches, e-cigarettes, SIM cards, or other electronic devices permitted.

Business attire suggested.

James Sindle

U.S. Consul General Dhahran at US Consulate Dhahran

Jim Sindle assumed duty as the U.S. Consul General in Dhahran in September 2023. With more than three decades of U.S. government experience, he has promoted American political, economic, human rights, military, education, and commercial interests.

Prior to his arrival in Dhahran, Mr. Sindle served as Senior Advisor to the U.S. Special Envoy for Afghan Women, Girls and Human Rights in Washington, D.C.

Between 2020 and 2021, Mr. Sindle served as Deputy Political Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq.

From 2017 to 2018, Mr. Sindle was detailed to the National Security Council at the White House as the Director for Syria and Lebanon. From 2014 to 2016, as Deputy Director for the Office of Regional and Multilateral Affairs in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, Mr. Sindle managed a diverse staff covering a wide range of issues from human rights to regional economic integration. Mr. Sindle’s earlier tours include domestic assignments in Washington, D.C. as a Staff Assistant to the Secretary of State from 2008 to 2009 and the Political-Military Officer in the Office of Israel and Palestinian Affairs from 2009 to 2011 where he worked on security issues and the Middle East Peace Process. Previous overseas assignments included tours in U.S. Embassies in France, the United Kingdom, and Algeria.

Mr. Sindle hails from Phoenix, Arizona and is a graduate of the University of Arizona (BSc), Georgetown University (MSc), and the U.S. Army War College (MSc). Mr. Sindle is the recipient of numerous State Department Superior Honor Awards for his work in the Middle East and Europe. He speaks French and Arabic. He is married to Erin Sindle.
