WIB Diwaniya 2: The Opportunity Challenge: Creating and Supporting Successful Women in Leadership

Much has been said lately about the Kingdom's amazing progress towards increasing the numbers of women in the workplace. Latest data shows women's participation in the labor market was 36%, up markedly from just five years ago. However, as we've learned time and again in other regions around the world, women's increased entry in the workforce does not necessarily translate to upward mobility and equal opportunities for leadership. Initial data shows that Saudi women are not getting the same experience or skill-building opportunities to advance in their careers.

On September 12, the WIB Diwaniya will bring together business leaders from Jeddah and other parts of the Kingdom to explore this topic and brainstorm ways to create and support more women in leadership roles. The forum will be one of fostering dialogue and hearing ideas from all participants, with a brief intro to present the results from our recent social media survey on leadership.
