In 2019 The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) forecast the economic impact of AI in Saudi Arabia projecting that US$200bn could be added to the country's GDP if government introduced the right policies to foster their AI ecosystem. Four years on, Economist Impact (formerly EIU) has explored the development of AI in the Kingdom, as well as other countries in the region including the UAE, Qatar, Egypt and Kuwait, providing fresh insights as to how AI will transform the region's economy. As the Kingdom is working towards realizing its objectives set out by Vision 2030, what will be the future of AI in achieving these goals? What policy options does KSA have for fostering its AI ecosystem?

The event will feature a presentation of the report "Pushing Forward: The Future of AI in the Middle East and North Africa" from Economist Impact supported by Google, as well as panel discussion including high level representatives from government and the private sector.
